The MGLuxM Conversation Series has been off to a great start. After their initiation into the series with a conversation on the Luxury Cars, the second event was held on 16th December, 2016, where the students gained deep insights into the changing Jewellery Industry. The students learnt from the industry stalwarts about the consumers then and now.

Intra School Tournaments always bring out the best in the students. SP Jain’s Dubai campus undertook “The Battle of the Divisions” from the 6th to 14th of December, 2016. The event was as amazing as it sounds! The MGB students from Division A and Division B internally competed in 7 fun leagues and one day tournaments that included Football, Basketball, Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis & Pool. Held at SP Jain’s Dubai Campus, GEMS Modern Academy and Nad Al Sheba, the event got everyone involved and enhanced teamwork while indulging in fun activities. Division A emerged as winners with 45 points and Division B trailed with 30 points.

Postgraduate students pursuing Global Business made a visit to Dubai Future Accelerators on 7th December. Dubai Future Accelerators is a unique opportunity for technology companies to gain unparalleled access to the staff, resources and expertise of Dubai’s government entities. It convenes entrepreneurs, government leaders, investors, corporates and students together to foster a global community built on innovation. The students were introduced to the key eight Dubai entities — mostly government departments — that are working with 30 private sector establishments on potential breakthroughs in safety and security, education, health care, sustainable infrastructure, energy and water, technology, transport, and finance.

6th December, 2016 marked the beginning of the conversation series for the Luxury Management students. The first of the many to come was on luxury cars, titled, "India's Obsession with Luxury Cars- Challenges Faced by the Luxury Auto Sector in the Indian Market". The students were joined by some of the stalwarts of the industry as the guest speakers. The distinguished speakers included Mr. Santosh Iyer, Sales and Marketing Director of Mercedes; Mr. Gautam Modi, MD of an Audi Dealership; Tarun Jha, Head of Marketing and Product at Skoda; Srikant Madhavan, from Tata Motors Finance; and Nitin Khanna from ICICI Lombard.
