The postgrad students were very excited and pumped with enthusiasm to visit the Masdar City in Abu Dhabi. Masdar City is a sustainable city located in Abu Dhabi which is known for its green buildings and for following highly efficient environmental standards which also houses the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Headquarters. The cohort began their trip on a pleasant rainy afternoon. After an hour and a half ride, the students reached the city of Abu Dhabi.

It is certainly a captivating experience to step out of the Singapore campus gate and mount the staircase which is positioned only a stone-throw away. So captivating, that for many of the students it was one of the first things students do, even before unpacking their bags, when they arrived here in Singapore.

As part of the industry outreach at the Big Data and Analytics Program, SP Jain invited Fractal Analytics to conduct a workshop on problem-solving to educate the students on the strategies and methodology employed in the industry to solve basic analytics problems. 

Mr. Rahul Desai, Vice President at Fractal Analytics, conducted the session. The session informed the students about the logical framework that is used by the analytics firm to provide analytical solutions to business problems faced by companies in banking, media, retail and several other diverse industries. Mr. Desai also shared the step by step logical process that is used to break almost any business problem to an analytics problem.
