BrainSim: An inter-school Simulation Competition hosted by SP Jain’s Dubai Campus

Playing golf is a good networking opportunity in today’s business environment. Hence, the Global Learning team, on 3rd November 2016, organised a golf session for our MBA students to give them a feel of what the game is all about.

Golf is a social game and it gives the players a good opportunity to spend time together in a friendly atmosphere. It is uniquely suited to businesses, since it allows people to engage in both casual and serious conversations in a non-threatening setting. The game also forces you to focus and be strategic when it comes to the next move.

BrainSim 2016 had 32 schools participating. More than 110 students were present at the S P Jain Premises on Thursday, 27th of October 2016, to participate in the only simulation based competition held in Dubai. During the simulation, the schools were divided into ‘worlds’ and were asked to analyze business situations as they would do in real life scenarios. Among the worlds, the highest profit making school was awarded as the Champion of BrainSim 2016.

Our Own English High School-Boys, Sharjah emerged as the Champions, followed by Al Diyafah School, Dubai as the 1st Runner’s Up and Our Own English High School-Boys, Al Warqa as the 2nd Runner’s Up. The 3rd Runners Up was Ambassador School, Dubai. The Westminster School, Dubai was awarded as the school from where there was the “Highest Participation”.
