Graduating as a Better Version of Myself – My MGB Journey with SP Jain

As I find myself jotting down my experiences from the past year, I realise how quickly time had passed by, and how unique my Master of Global Business (MGB) experience was at SP Jain School of Global Management. Before I joined the program, I had many tell me, “This will be the best one year of your life wherein you will learn a lot and graduate as a positively different person.” Not surprisingly, I began my MBA journey with a lot of hopes, ambitions, and expectations. The Growing Personal Care Industry – What I Learnt During My Visit to Unilever Dubai

Unilever, the Anglo-Dutch major, exports products with a “Made in the UAE” label and has built a Dh1 billion factory in December 2017 dedicated to personal care. Personal Care is Unilever’s largest product segment, generating approximately €20.17bn or 38 per cent of total turnover in 2016. The company, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, manufactures personal care brands including Vaseline, Sunsilk, and Tresemme, as well as food and beverage brands such as, Lipton, Bovril and Ben & Jerry’s.

Never Underestimate the Lessons You Can Learn from the Desert

Four hours – that’s how long it took for us to get to the Liwa camp site. We did not know the beauty that lay ahead of us. Coming into university, all of us assumed it would be a lot of studies with no free time. However, at SP Jain, we’re able to learn about culture and business through various activities and excursions. One such trip that taught us a lot was the Overnight Liwa Desert Camping held between 19th – 20th January 2018.
