When I started my BBA, I thought the journey would be simple; study business, do a few internships, graduate and hopefully find a good job. That was the plan. But somewhere between Singapore, Dubai and Sydney, it became much more than that.

When students ask me why they should study data science here in Sydney rather than anywhere else, I usually turn the question around: what do you actually need, as a data scientist in training, that a city can give you? Not just lecture halls and Wi-Fi — every city has those. You need proximity to real industry.

Hi, I'm Govind Aggarwal, currently pursuing my Master of Global Business (MGB) at SP Jain School of Global Management, set to graduate in September 2026. I'm originally from Patiala, Punjab, where I completed my bachelor's degree at Thapar Institute in International Management with a minor in Psychology.
