The Bachelor of Data Science (BDS) program offered by SP Jain School of Global Management has been ranked #1 for the second consecutive year in Analytics India Magazine’s (AIM) annual rankings of the top undergraduate data science programs in India for 2021.

Bhavna Sharma, a student from SP Jain School of Global Management’s Bachelor of Data Science (BDS) (Intake of 2020), and her mentor Professor Ashish Das, from the Department of Mathematics at IIT Bombay, have published a research report titled “Merchant Transactions through Debit Cards” in IIT Bombay Technical Report (October 2021).

The inaugural cohort of SP Jain School of Global Management’s Bachelor of Data Science (BDS) program has had excellent placement outcomes validating the skills shortage in this fast-growing field. The School reported that over 80% of the students who stayed back in Australia upon completing their course requirements have found Australian jobs. The FTE salaries offered in Sydney range from AUD 60,000 to AUD 80,000 per year.

SP Jain School of Global Management has recently placed three Bachelor of Data Science (BDS) students as interns with Adaptive Investments, a US-based FinTech company. Our students – Aryaman Jena (BDS 2018 Intake), Tushar Sonthalia (BDS 2019 Intake) and Abhishek Tiwari (BDS 2019 Intake) – have been onboarded as Software Engineering Interns for a period of 6-8 weeks and are convertible based on performance.
