Dr Silvia Vianello (Director of Innovation Centre at SP Jain School of Global Management, Dubai) recently received The Middle East Women Leadership Award at the Asian Leadership Awards (ALA) for her continued commitment to excellence, developing best practices and innovative strategies.

An article written by Dr. Nawazish Mirza titled “With VAT, Gulf banks will experience cost variations” has been published in Gulf News. “Given that VAT is on consumption, it is sometimes considered regressive in nature. However, given some of the unique characteristics of the proposed tax reforms, it is likely to be quite progressive,” says Dr. Mirza in the article.

“2016 saw relatively weak private equity deal flows within the GCC and can be best described as a watershed year as the demand and supply gap further narrowed, promising well for more activity in 2017.” — says Prof. Arindam Banerjee in his article, Undiscovered Horizons, published in Banker Middle East, April Edition.
