Firstly, as an Executive Member, being able to represent, as President of S P Jain Toastmasters Club, in the parliamentary proceedings of the Annual Council Meeting was a valuable experience. Secondly, it was a remarkable learning experience to witness the International Public Speaking Contest and the outstanding winners of the 4 regions. ‘World champions in Public Speaking’ are undoubtedly created here in this forum.
The Conference highlights included 4 prodigious workshops conducted by renowned world famous Public Speakers: Ms. Paddy Kennedy, a specialist trainer in productivity and performance improvement; Mr. Pres Vasilev, an expert in the subject of successful selling with storytelling; Mr. Magan Kalra, a revolutionary coach, ranked among the Top 10 trainers in the World by DC & Associates; and Mohammed Ali Shukri, the International award-winning speaker and an explosion of energy on the stage.
Overall, across 1.5 years of our Toastmasters journey, weaving through the TMIs Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Service and Excellence, has immensely blessed us as Team SP Jain Toastmasters Club, Dubai. We have had many satisfying moments as we continue to refine our public speaking and leadership roles and go through the many ‘hoops’ of the myriads of opportunities this learning vehicle provides.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Jain for supporting Toastmasters from the very beginning. Furthermore, Dr Gary Stockport (Dean – Executive MBA) and Lakshmi Raman (Registrar, SP Jain) for their relentless support and most valuable trust. I will treasure this fantastic experience.
