Artificial intelligence is transforming the way students learn, and the way businesses operate. This shift raises a bigger question: what should business education really deliver in a world where technical skills can be automated?
In a recent interview with The European Business Review, Nitish Jain, Founder and President of the SP Jain Group, offered a clear perspective. When asked how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the value of an MBA, he noted that many traditional skills like financial modelling or data analysis can now be completed in minutes.
“The knowledge hasn’t become wrong,” he said, “it’s just stopped being the differentiator.”
However, to him, this is not a limitation; it’s an opportunity. Business education, he believes, must shift its focus from delivering knowledge to building judgment.
At the same time, AI is transforming the learning experience itself. It allows lessons to be personalised, provides instant feedback, and frees up classroom time for discussion and critical thinking. “Technology can handle the answers,” Mr Jain says. “Students need to learn how to ask the right questions.”
In an era where instant solutions are everywhere, he emphasises that the real advantage will go to those who can pause, reflect, and challenge what they are told, whether it comes from a machine or a market expert.
