My journey with SP Jain Global started in September 2025 in Singapore. At that time, I was excited about starting college, but I honestly did not expect how much the experience would change me.
My first year in Singapore was a complete package of studies, fun, new experiences, exposure, networking and, most importantly, personal growth. Living in a new country and meeting people from different backgrounds was a completely new experience for me. I made some really good friends, experienced different cultures and slowly became more independent.
What I enjoyed most about studying at SP Jain Global was that the classes were not just about textbooks and theory. A lot of the subjects were connected to real-life business situations, which made learning much more interesting. The Dean, our professors, and administrative teams were always supportive whenever we needed guidance.
The Global Learning activities were another part of my Singapore experience that I really enjoyed. They gave us opportunities to explore Singapore, understand its business environment and learn outside the classroom. Looking back, I feel that Singapore was where I really started becoming more confident and comfortable with stepping outside my comfort zone.
Then came another important part of my BBA journey.
I got the opportunity to go on an exchange to TBS Education in Toulouse, France, one of SP Jain Global’s partner universities. When I first heard about the opportunity, I was excited, but I also knew that moving to another country alone would be a completely different experience.
With the support of the administration team and encouragement from Dean Veena Jadhav ma’am (Professor and Dean – Undergraduate Programs), I was able to manage the exchange process smoothly. There were a lot of things to plan and organise before coming to France, and their guidance made the whole process much easier.
Coming to Toulouse was definitely a courageous decision for me. I came here without my usual group of friends, and yes, I was nervous before coming. A new country, a new university, new people and a different culture can be a little overwhelming. But at the same time, that was exactly why I wanted to come.
My main motivation was to explore France, experience a new culture, meet new people, and most importantly, get out of my comfort zone. It has now been more than two weeks since I arrived in Toulouse, and even though it is still early, I can already feel that I am learning a lot.
Studying at TBS Education has given me the chance to experience another academic environment while continuing my journey as an SP Jain Global student. Meeting students from different countries and adapting to a new environment has made me realise that international exposure is not only about travelling, but also about learning to adapt, communicate with different people and become comfortable in unfamiliar situations.
One thing I have realised through both Singapore and Toulouse is that learning does not only happen inside a classroom. Some of my biggest learnings have come from everyday experiences — living independently, meeting new people, navigating a new city, trying new things and sometimes figuring things out on my own.
I also want to give special credit to my parents. Coming to France alone would not have been possible without their trust and support. Leaving home and going to another country is a big decision, and knowing that my parents supported me throughout gave me the confidence to take this step.
And of course, my friends have been a huge part of this journey too. From the memories we made in Singapore to the people who continue to stay in touch even when we are in different countries, they have made this journey much more special.
When I look back at the person who started the BBA program in September 2025, I feel I have changed quite a lot. I have become more independent, confident and open to new experiences. More importantly, I have started understanding the value of taking opportunities even when they seem a little scary at first.
I am really grateful to SP Jain Global for giving me the opportunity to experience this global learning journey — from Singapore to France and hopefully many more places in the future. France is just another chapter, and I am already looking forward to the next stops in my journey, including Dubai and Australia.
For now, I am just excited to see where this journey takes me next.
