When I joined the Master of Global Business (MGB) program at SP Jain Global, I expected academic rigour and international exposure. What I got instead was something way more powerful: perspective. Over the course of a year, I lived and studied in Singapore, London, and Dubai. Three cities that don’t just teach business, they breathe it. Each one flipped a different switch in me: how I think, how I work, and how I see the world.

In the burgeoning field of data science, academic programs are multiplying at a dizzying rate. Bootcamps promise proficiency in Python and machine learning in twelve weeks, while university degrees boast of producing job-ready graduates. Curricula are often packed with the latest tools and techniques: TensorFlow, PySpark, neural networks, and NLP. Yet, amidst this race to equip students with practical skills, a critical componen remains academic research and publication. The role of research in the Bachelor of Data Science program at SP Jain Global is not merely an academic exercise; it is the unseen engine that transforms a technician from a tool-user into a scientist, a problem-solver, and an innovator.

When I embarked on my Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at SP Jain School of Global Management, I was certain the experience would go above-and-beyond that of a regular degree. What I never imagined was how much it would impact my classroom, professional, and personal outlook. The curriculum is designed to not only to teach students about business concepts but also to instil global exposure, cultural sensitivity, and experiential learning — all essential skills in today's globalised world.

Hi, my name is Trisha Mukherjee, and I am a final-year student in the Bachelor of Data Science (BDS) program at SP Jain School of Global Management. It is with immense pride that I share the journey of my research paper, which was recently accepted for presentation at the prestigious IEEE ASIANCON 2025 conference. From the initial concept to the final presentation, this experience has been a significant milestone in my academic career, and I am grateful for the support I received along the way.

Studying abroad sounded like a dream – exciting and glamorous. I imagined exotic places, new friends and unforgettable experiences. Homesickness? Always sounded like some fancy, distant concept until… it hit me like a truck!

My name is Aarav Saxena, I’m a second-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in data science at SP Jain School of Global Management. With the ever-changing world of the internet, the skill of taking theoretical education and applying it in the real world is what makes students stand out. SP Jain School of Global Management's Bachelor of Data Science (BDS) course revolves around that with practical experience, and hackathons are at the center of it.

This journey so far has been nothing short of transformational — shaped by roots, resilience, and a relentless drive to grow. 

I began my academic journey in Sagar, Karnataka, at St. Joseph's English Medium School. I then attended pre-university at Alvas, Moodbidri, and received a B.Com from Poornaprajna College, Udupi (Mangalore University). I also pursued a diploma in Air Transport Fundamentals from IATA, driven by a lifelong passion for aviation.

When you start an Executive MBA, people warn you about the long nights, the group projects, and the fact that your calendar will start looking like it needs a project manager of its own. And sure, there’s some truth to that. But what they don’t tell you and what surprised me is how quickly your thinking evolves. You stop seeing problems as tasks and start seeing them as opportunities. Even my manager noticed a shift (and not just because my emails got less aggressive).

Stepping into EY as an intern in the TAX – International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) – Transfer Pricing function was more than just an industry experience—it was an eye-opening journey into the intricate world of international taxation. My project, “Benchmarking in Advisory”, placed me at the intersection of financial analysis, compliance, and strategic advisory, where every detail mattered.
