I was jumping up and down with joy! For the first time, all 51 boxes of the Sudoku puzzle in the “Week-End” newspaper were unerringly filled. For an 8-year-old armed with nothing more than a pencil and a weekly paper, this was a monumental accomplishment. That moment sparked a love for numbers that continues to burn within me, leading me to firmly believe that the world of analytics is where I belong.

My story with data science begins with a simple love for maths and coding. I started coding during high school and had already grasped some fundamentals before deciding on my career path. The turning point came when I attended a conference in Vietnam discussing the potential of AI. It was there that my passion for data was ignited, and I realised the incredible impact this field could have on the world. Landing your first internship is always special, but for me, it was an extraordinary milestone. While pursuing my undergraduate BBA degree at SP Jain School of Global Management, I had the privilege of studying in Dubai, a city teeming with opportunities. It was here that I secured my first internship at Philips (now Signify), a global leader in lighting solutions. What made this experience even more remarkable was that I was working with the head of the finance department and directly reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). It was both an incredible opportunity and an immense responsibility—one that shaped my professional outlook in profound ways.

Today’s globalised world is characterised by greater business and trade facilitations between nation states & a strong impetus towards entrepreneurial ventures. As students complete their 12^th standard examinations, both students and their parents grapple with which course or program to choose from amongst the diverse range of options that are presented to today’s young generation.
