Having learnt the basics of accountancy right in his Grade 7, Manas Sarda (BBA Class of 2020) always knew that he had a calling for business. “My father started our family business from scratch when I was a kid,” Manas shares. “I have seen him spend sleepless nights trying to grow the business and I’ve seen him fail. But the best thing I liked about dad was how he never gave up. He treated each morning as a fresh start, and that is what inspired me to follow his footsteps.”

Manthan Shah (BBA Intake of 2018) is a professional athlete who captained India’s team in the International Table Tennis Championship (Pacific Games, Australia) and won 2 bronze medals in the event before he joined SP Jain. Since then, he represented the School in the Spartan Race (Malaysia, Philippines, and Singapore) and is currently the youngest Indian to do so. He also gave a talk at TEDxGateway, was a part of the Dean’s List for academic excellence, was a guest speaker at the Podcast on Climate Change with Scott Amyx (USA), participated in the outreach program in Philippines, published a research paper on Circular Economy, won three gold medals at the Fiesta Games 2019, and so much more!

One of the key learning experiences recommended during your undergraduate studies is taking up an internship. The past 8 weeks I spent at the Mondelez Head Office in Mumbai have been a truly flavour-packed experience. During this time, I got an opportunity to work on a lot of diverse projects with a small and dynamic team. It helped me a lot in realising what I am good at, what I can improve on, and what I still have to learn about in the FMCG field of e-commerce and marketing.
