  • Monitoring containers, storage & distribution strategies, policies to plan for container movement – preparing and implementing plans to maintain required equipment at each depot to a level at minimum cost
  • Negotiating contracts with customers, to meet the quality of the container, freight cost and delivery requirements in transportation
  • Monitoring and reviewing storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control inventory levels – operating recording systems to track all movements of containers, and ensuring inventory is always in stock
  • Liaising with other departments and customers concerning requirements for shipments and associated forwarding transportation
  • Overseeing the recording of purchase, storage, and distribution transactions
  • Directing staff activities and monitoring their performance
  • Develop and review policies, freight rates, procedures concerning customer relations and goods and services provided
  • Ensuring operational efficiency within the department – providing direction and feedback to the members and assisting with recruitments
  • Managing, motivating, and developing staff providing customer service
  • Planning and implementing after-sales services to follow up customers satisfaction on the service, modify and improve services provided
