A very pleasant and welcoming environment prevails at the Singapore campus.
The sprawling campus set amidst lush greenery and foliage comprises several renovated heritage buildings spread over seven acres, and is located close to downtown Singapore. Easily accessible by road, with a bus stop just outside the campus, it is in close proximity to other local schools, medical facilities and hospitals, 24-hour food outlets like 7-11 and hypermarkets as well as recreational, shopping and corporate centres. And the programs run in Singapore campus are Global MBA, BBA, MGB and Executive MBA.
The various buildings on the campus house classrooms, learning centres, library and several other facilities. Classrooms are tiered, and equipped with state-of-the-art audio and video equipment. There are 7 lecture halls (four being 157 sq.mt., two being 80 sq.mt. and one 58 sq.mt.). Two seminar halls (one of 114.5 sq.mt. and the other of 75.5 sqmt) are also used for lectures occasionally.
A cafeteria offering a variety of multinational cuisine caters to the food requirements of the student community. There is also a sandwich bar on the campus for a quick bite. After classes, students have the option to refresh and rejuvenate by exercising at the in-house gym, indulging in various games such as basketball and table tennis or simply take long walks around the campus or on the Mt. Faber Sky Walk located just outside the campus.
Since its independence in 1959, Singapore has become one of the world´s wealthiest and healthiest economic centres. It is one of the Four Asian Tigers (along with Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan) and home to about 5 million citizens.
A vibrant cosmopolitan city, Singapore is the world´s fourth leading financial centre, one of the top oil refining centres, a manufacturing dynamo, one of the five busiest ports in the world, and promoted as “the world´s easiest place to do business“ by the World Bank. The city has the third highest per capita income in the world, in terms of purchasing power parity.
Singapore also boasts a booming tourist industry, one of the best educational systems in the world, and first-class health care. Singapore has attracted about 3000 multinational companies, primarily from the US, Europe and Japan, which account for almost two-thirds of its manufacturing production. Its success is based in large part upon its openness, not only in business, but in its society´s emphasis on tolerance and respect. While the majority of the population is of Chinese heritage, there are also significant populations of people of Malay and Indian descent, with about 4% of the remaining population drawn from around the world. Highlighting this diversity, it has four official languages: English, Chinese, Malay, and Tamil. Clean, beautiful, with world-class shopping, a growing artistic tradition, a diversity of religious beliefs, sporting events, a 24-hour social life, and unique (and delicious) cuisine, Singapore is one of the world´s most enjoyable cities to visit.
