Do it for the Experience!

Many (prospective) students may have this certain bit of apprehension before joining this course, as to should I take up the offer, is it worth the price, will it actually be able to cover up the entire MBA portion in a year. I was no stranger to these and I took the plunge. Let me tell you why I will not regret it for the rest of my life. Believe me when I tell you that this course has a lot to offer. What eventually matters is how YOU make the most of it. The whole idea of a master’s program is to make you self-sufficient and self-reliant. This means – DO NOT EXPECT SPOON FEEDING (this is the difference between your graduate school and a B-school). In terms of the study material, it is up to the mark and you will feel burdened. Burdened by the SBR’s (these three letters will haunt your life), CRP/ALPs (the next 3 to haunt), submissions, deliverables, etc.

Future of Business Education

Businesses have moved to the 21st century and ironically Business Education still remains a legacy of the 20th century.  Business schools across the world are supposed to educate and prepare the industry leaders of tomorrow.  Yet, a Gallup study of 2014 concludes that only 33% of business leaders across the globe agree B-school graduates have the required knowledge and skills their businesses need in a rapidly changing environment.  The ironic divide between academia and industry seems to be increasing every year.

95% of SP Jain’s MGB Students Land International Internships

Internships not only enhance classroom learning by integrating academic curriculum and real-world work experience but allow students to test out their interests and develop their long-range career plans.
Internship programs also help develop students’ overall maturity by strengthening resourcefulness, problem-solving skills, self-confidence, self-discipline and build a sense of responsibility. This is one of the main reasons why, at SP Jain, all MGB (Masters in Global Business) students take up 4 months of mandatory internship.

This is what Ayush Singh of NIT Rourkela had to say after his recent participation in SP Jain’s ASAP (Advance Student Admission Program) conducted in Jan 2015.
