Power Talk Series – Understanding luxury watches with Rahul Kapoor (Co-founder - Excedo Luxuria)

India has become a hotspot for premium watch brands, new retailers and market partners. To help the Master in Global Luxury Goods & Services Management (MGLuxM) students understand the challenges and opportunities in the luxury watch industry, SP Jain School of Global Management organised a Power Talk by Rahul Kapoor, co-founder of Excedo Luxuria, a luxury retailer.

Rahul Kapoor specialises in Bespoke and Haute Luxury. His company Excedo Luxuria is one of the world's only dedicated Haute Luxury specialists. The firm represents a strong portfolio of niche brands including EL Chaussure for custom, handmade shoes, Fabiov leather accessories, Hayari Couture gowns, dresses and scents, and Swiss watch brands Cecil Purnell and Breva.

The session was held on March 5, 2020 at SP Jain’s Mumbai campus. Here are the key takeaways:

The Power Talk helped students understand how luxury watch houses’ design and manufacture their timepieces and why they are valued at a special price point.
