HOW WE TEACH

In both the cities, Mumbai and Milan, students get the chance to meet industry experts and leaders, undertake live projects, and visit brand stores to gain a first-hand understanding of how the sector works. Students also get the opportunity to visit some of the famous luxury capitals of the world like Paris, Switzerland and Germany. Here are some engaging industry-led initiatives that help our students develop an in-depth understanding of luxury brand management:

DOMAIN STUDY

We have identified four main domains in the luxury space for the Master in Global Luxury Goods and Services Management (MGLuxM) program:

  • Fashion & Beauty
  • Automobiles
  • Jewellery
  • Hospitality

We invite experts from the industry who share their thoughts and equip our students with all the knowledge and skills required to foray into the industry of their choice. The experts share their knowledge and understanding with the students from a practitioner’s view point. Their insights on branding, legal laws, policies, go-to market strategies and consumer behaviour, among other topics, help the students to understand the nuances of doing business with a global perspective

CONVERSATION SERIES

We organise the Conversation Series every alternate Friday where students get to meet industry experts. Our MGLuxM students reap the opportunity to get an expert’s advice on the expansive luxury industry. Every sector of the luxury industry – ranging from jewellery to spirits, watches to cars, hospitality to beauty, and food to fashion – gets covered in these interactive sessions. Here are some industry leaders who have graced our conversation series in the past:

LIVE PROJECTS

The final leg of the MGLuxM program is dedicated to Live Projects, which allow students to apply their theoretical knowledge into practice. The project work includes a report from an optional internship, market analysis or a desk research on a specific topic or industry, or an essay describing a business plan for a luxury start-up.

INTERNATIONAL STUDY TOURS

The four months that students spend in Milan include study tours to neighbouring European countries like Germany, Switzerland, France and Italy to explore local luxury brands, meet market analysts and interact with heads of leading local firms. The program includes dedicated study tours to:
