SP Jain Global signs MoU with Zayed International Foundation to promote sustainability

On 24^th May 2025, Prof Christopher Abraham signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of SP Jain School of Global Management with the Zayed International Foundation for the Environment, established in 1999 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

Supporting SP Jain Global’s broader vision of sustainability driven leadership, the MoU seeks to drive environmental awareness, strengthen partnerships across sectors, and promote sustainable innovation.

Key objectives of the agreement include:

• Encourage active participation from both the public and corporate sectors in environmental initiatives.
• Acknowledge and celebrate individuals and organisations making significant contributions to sustainability.
• Organise awards, conferences, publications, and campaigns to raise awareness.
• Inspire and involve youth in meaningful environmental projects.
• Foster collaboration at local, regional, and international level.
• Conduct joint media briefings and initiatives to highlight shared efforts in sustainability.

The partnership also saw its first collaboration with SP Jain Global’s MGB students volunteering at the Art & Environment Exhibition (24th May to 31st May) at the Historic Auction House, Pyramid Mall, Dubai. Co-hosted by the Zayed and Riad Al-Muqawil foundations, the event featured four international artists exploring themes such as land repair, desertification, water conservation, climate action in Dubai, and women’s role in an environmental reform.

The event concluded with a special recognition of SP Jain Global and its students as key partners in advancing the shared vision of sustainability and environmental action.
