On November 18, 2022, Batch 11 students of the Master in Global Luxury Goods & Services Management (MGLuxM) program at SP Jain got an opportunity to visit the Hermès Heritage - in Motion Exhibition, which was held in South Mumbai.
This time, the exhibition commemorated objects that are "in motion". The students thus got a peek into the rich collections from the Hermès archives and conservatory, the Emile Hermès collection, and Hermès contemporary pieces
Hermès - the Paris-based brand offers a unique balance between modernity and heritage, which is prominent throughout their collections. collections.
Looking at the objects from the Émile Hermès collections, our students understood how the brand has successfully managed to follow in the footsteps of generations of creators, from its origins as a harness-maker and saddlery to its present-day image of establishing itself as a high-end luxury label.
In Motion" displayed objects that carry within them the desire to take off, travel, and roam.
The MGLuxM students further learned how the brand has always stood to improvise itself and greatly supported women in their endeavours to achieve gender equality.
The exhibition beautifully evoked Hermès journey and highlighted on the need to feel comfortable and for everything to be beautiful!
