MultiTaction, is a product leader who develops interactive display systems suitable to the needs to multiple corporate clients globally. Headquartered in Finland, they have partnered globally and currently have their presence is 50 countries worldwide. The IT cohort of the GMBA May 15 had the opportunity to meet with Ollipekka Korhonen, Vice President – APAC Region to better understand their product hardware features and software designs, future outlook and the industry as well.

Mr. Olipekka also discussed about the basic API they provide which can be customised for various use cases and industries. Another unique feature of the interactive display system is the use of markers. The markers and the actions they perform can be customised not only based on the application but can also be customised for different users. For example, having different markers for different use cases. The interactive displays can connect to your email box and it becomes very easy to transfer media, take screenshots, file sharing etc. Any type of data can be collected and can be displayed visually. For example, Flextronics a logistics company used these screens to display the performance metrics and multiple other use cases which helped them reduce their overall cycle time by one day.

Apart from gaining in depth understanding of the technology and sample applications the students were also given an overview of the company’s future development plans. Mr. Olipekka also discussed about their global strategy and about how the need to understand the local business market to be able to succeed and connect to different companies. The target customer segment of MultiTaction is the Fortune 1000 companies which are located all across the globe. Hence, for a business like MultiTaction it is a must for them to understand the local market to be able to succeed.

The Japanese and the Australian market are the top revenue generating markets for MultiTaction in the APAC region. However, USA continues to be global leader for MultiTaction. In future, MultiTaction is not only focussing not only product development but also on expanding globally through its partner network with a focus on the Asian market.
