Components of SHRM Global Learning System®

The SHRM Global Learning System® is a blend of educational media and teaching methods, using each medium for its strongest educational impact to provide effective and interactive training. The materials are designed and built from the same test specifications used to create the GPHR® certification exam and contain a number of online sample tests based on these specifications. The SHRM Global Learning System® also includes testing games to add elements of fun and enjoyment to exam preparation. It is comprised of the following learning modules:

Learning Modules

The Global Learning System® is designed for HR professionals with at least two years of practical HR job experience. The primary focus is the global practice and application of human resources. Basic HR practices such as compensation, selection, legal practices and benefits will be covered briefly. Each module has a case study that demonstrates how the content is applied in practical situations.

  1. Strategic HR Management:
    Learn how to develop a global HR strategy that successfully integrates a company's strategy to meet its short-and long-term business needs. Key topics and issues include:

    c. Attracting and developing global talent

  2. Global Organizational Effectiveness and Employee Development:
    Learn how to establish organizational structures, programs and processes to deploy and use employees to achieve current and future worldwide objectives. Learn how cultures affect all aspects of a global business. Global organizational development programs are presented, along with differences that pertain to several cultures.   6. International Employee Relations and Regulations:
