S P Jain -Merit Scholarships/ Loan granting criteria

 

All students receiving scholarships will need to have high GPA's and meet the code of conduct requirements.

S P Jain - General Merit Scholarships/ Loan granting criteria

S P Jain has tied up with some charitable Trusts to give scholarships or loans to students. The Trusts very selectively offer scholarships/loans at low interest rates to meritorious and needy students.

Applications for scholarships/loans will be considered only for those students who have been offered a place in the GMBA Program. All applications will be pooled and screened post closing of admissions for the April 2010 intake

Applicants must fulfill at least 3 out of the following criteria in order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship.

  1. Outstanding academic achievement (minimum 75% and above in ALL years of education - 10th, 12th and ALL years of graduation)
  2. High entrance test score - GMAT - 720+ or CAT/SPJAT - 95%ile and above
  3. Outstanding achievements in the areas of either academics, sports, social service or extracurricular
  4. Graduation from a top ranked institution
  5. Exceptional post graduate qualification (eg CA rank holder)

Kindly note that students who meet 3 of the above 5 criteria will not automatically be awarded a scholarship. This only means that they are eligible to apply for a scholarship.


Applications for scholarship must include the following

  1. Detailed Resume
  2. Short essay indicating why you think you should be given the scholarship and which are the criteria you think you meet
  3. Mark sheets (10th,12th, ALL years of graduation, post graduation - if applicable)
  4. CAT/GMAT/SPJAT score sheet
  5. Appointment letter/Work experience certificate from current employer
  6. Certificates pertaining to outstanding achievements in the areas of academics, sports, social service or extracurricular
  7. Recent Salary Slips, IT returns (of self and parents) to indicate financial need

India students need to send a Mumbai encashable DD for Rs 500/- in the name of "SP JAIN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND RESEARCH, MUMBAI".

Foreign students may make out a payment for USD 20/- in the name of "S P JAIN EDUCATION FZ LLC" payable at Dubai. This is a processing fee.

Foreign students making payment at our Singapore Campus need to make a payment for USD 20/- in cash. This is a processing fee.

Applications received with any one of the above missing will be treated as incomplete and will be disqualified.;

The amount of the scholarship will be determined on the merits of each case.

Applications must reach us by March 15, 2010. Any applications received post the close of working hours of March 15, 2010 will not be entertained.

The status of your application post screening will be advised individually via email no later than March 25, 2010. We would appreciate if students would kindly refrain from contacting us in the interim period.

Please note that as the decision on Scholarships would be announced after or very close to the final fee payment deadline, students would have to pay the complete fees by the fee payment deadline. Incase a student is awarded a scholarship, any excess amount received from them on account of this will be credited to their account.
