Since gaining independence in 1959, Singapore has become one of the world’s healthiest economic centers. It is one of the Four Asian Tigers (along with Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan) and home to about 5 million citizens. Singapore is the world’s fourth leading financial center, one of the top oil refining centers, a manufacturing dynamo, one of the five busiest ports in the world, and named by the World Bank as “the world’s easiest place to do business.” It also boasts a booming tourist industry, one of the world’s best educational systems, and first-class health care. Singapore has attracted about 3000 multinational companies, primarily from the US, Europe, and Japan, which account for almost two-thirds of its manufacturing production.
Singapore’s success is based in large part upon its openness, not only in business, but in its society’s emphasis on tolerance and respect. While the majority of the population is of Chinese heritage, there are also significant populations of people of Malay and Indian descent, with about 4% of the remaining population drawn from around the world. Singapore is clean, beautiful, with world-class shopping, great public transportation, a growing artistic tradition, a diversity of religious beliefs, sporting events, a 24-hour social life, and unique (and delicious) cuisine. It is one of the world’s most enjoyable cities to visit.
The S P Jain campus comprises several renovated heritage buildings spread over seven beautifully landscaped acres. Classrooms are ultra-modern: tiered, with comfortable seating, and equipped with state-of-the-art audio and video equipment. The campus is close to downtown Singapore, as well as other colleges, medical facilities, 24-hour food outlets, grocery stores, as well as recreational, shopping and corporate centers. The campus is easily accessible by road, bus, or metro train. The various buildings house classrooms, learning centers, faculty and administrative offices, a library, dormitories, student lounges, a cafeteria (featuring a variety of Indian and international cuisine), a sandwich shop and coffee bar, and an in-house gym.
S P Jain, Singapore, is exempt from the Private Education Act requirements of the EduTrust Certification and Fee Protection Scheme. S P Jain’s registration details in accordance with the Private Education Act, Singapore, is the S P Jain School of Global Management. The CPE (Council for Private Education) PEI registration number is 200516544Z. The period of registration is 09 May 2011 to 08 May 2017.
