Eligibility Criteria for admission

  1. Is there a maximum age limit for someone who wishes to apply?

  2. I will be giving my final year exam only in April 2008. Can I still apply?

  3. I have done a year less in my graduation as I have followed the 10+2+2 system. Am I still eligible to apply?

  4. I have less than 60% in my final exam, can I still apply?

  5. What is the minimum amount of work experience required in order to apply for the course?

  6. I am currently working in Dubai / Singapore; can I work and do your course at the same time? Or will I need to quit my job?

  7. How many students do you have in a batch? Is there any particular standard ratio of foreigners to Indians?

Admission Procedure

  1. When does the application process for the May 2008 intake start?

  2. Do I need to send any certificates with the application form?

  3. I am a resident of Dubai/Singapore. Do I need to apply through the Mumbai office or can I apply through the Dubai/Singapore campuses.

  4. What is the application deadline?

  5. Is there an entrance test required?

  6. I have applied for a passport but it is not yet in hand. Can I still apply?

  7. What are the factors considered for admission?

  8. Will I have to go through an interview for admission?

  9. Is it mandatory to submit reference forms?


Aptitude Tests

  1. What is the minimum score required in GMAT, CAT and SPJ aptitude test?

  2. I appeared for the GMAT/ CAT/ SP Jain internal aptitude test 3 years ago. Are the scores still valid or do I need to re-take the exam?

  3. How do I send my GMAT scores to you? Can I enclose the copy of the Mark sheet obtained from the test center or do I have to ask ETS to send the scores to you?

  4. How do I update you with my CAT/GMAT score if I receive the same after I have applied?

  5. If I have taken more than one exam, i.e. CAT and GMAT, which score would you consider?

  6. If I have not done too well in my GMAT or CAT exam, can I take your internal aptitude test? Which scores would you consider?

  7. What does S P Jain’s aptitude test, test the student for?

  8. Is the aptitude test a computer based test or a paper based one?

  9. Is there negative marking in the test?

  10. Are there sectional cut offs for the CAT/GMAT/SPJAT?

  11. Is the aptitude test conducted in more than one city? If so, which ones?

  12. If I do not have a CAT/GMAT/SP Jain Aptitude test score, can I still apply?

  13. I have a XAT score, is it accepted by SPJCM as it was in the past?

GMBA Program

S.P. Jain's Global MBA Program is an intensive one year program which is conducted 6 months in Singapore and 6 months in Dubai. In view of the program being one, you do not need to apply separately for the two campuses, as it is part of one program and thus you need to send us one application only.

  1. Are majority of applicants to S P Jain’s GMBA program also applicants of SPJIMR, Mumbai’s PGDM (2 year) program?

  2. Is the rotation between the two campuses compulsory, or can I choose which campus to go to?

  3. Which specialisations start at which campus?

  4. Is "On-Campus" housing compulsory or can I stay "Off-Campus" on my own?

  5. When does the course commence? Do you have more than one intake in a year?

  6. How good is the one-year Global MBA program being offered by you as compared to the two-year program of SPJIMR, Mumbai?

  7. Why is the duration of your course for one academic year only?

  8. Can I do the course through correspondence

  9. Is your college along similar lines to the ISB College in Hyderabad?

  10. I am an engineer. Which stream is suited to me?

  11. In what currency are fees payable - be they for evaluation, aptitude test or for the program.

  12. What is the cost of the programme and when are the payments due?

  13. Can I submit more than one application under 2 different specializations?

 

GMBA - accreditation/certification

  1. Is S P Jain a university (or deemed university)? What role does SPJIMR, Mumbai play in S P Jain, Dubai-Singapore’s GMBA program?

  2. Does SPJIMR, Mumbai endorse this program? Is the program officially recognized in India?

  3. Is GMBA a degree? If not, what should it be called? What we will be conferred at the end of completing this program?

 

Interactive Information Sessions

  1. Do you have any information sessions for each course specialization?

  2. How can I register for the information session? Is there any charge to attend a session?

Visas, Loans and Scholarships

  1. What would be the duration for which I would get the visas for both these countries?

  2. Do we need to make our own travel and visa arrangements or is it organized by your institute?

  3. Do you provide loan facilities?

  4. Does S P Jain provide student scholarships and if so what are the criteria?

Life at Campus ( DUBAI - SINGAPORE )

  1. What kind of "On-Campus" housing do you provide? Do we get our own rooms? Do boys and girls live in separate housing?

  2. What about food? Do you provide on-campus meals? Is vegetarian food available?

  3. What about bed linen and towels? Do I need to carry my own?

  4. What is the weather like year in both these cities? What sort of clothes do I need to carry?

Placements/ Internship

  1. Do you offer placement help to all your students? And are the placements centered in Dubai and Singapore only, or also in India and other parts of the world?

  2. What about work permits for working in Dubai or Singapore after graduation? Are they easily attainable?


  3. I shall be graduating out of the Dubai campus does this mean that I will be placed in Dubai only?
