It was a poignant moment that would linger in their memory for many years to come. And this moment arrived for several MBA graduates on the 7th of December, 2010. At a glittering event at Holiday Inn Atrium, Singapore, S P Jain conferred MBA degrees to around 130 graduates comprising the GMBA and EMBA cohort.

The special event was graced by the Guest of Honor Mr Rohit Gandhi, Managing Director Mahindra Satyam (Asia Pacific) along with Mr Nitish Jain, President, S P Jain, Dr Peter Drake, Academic Board Chairman, Professor John Davis, Former Dean of the Global MBA, Professor Christopher Abraham, Head - Dubai Campus and Senior Vice President, Dr Balakrishna Grandhi, Dean of the Executive MBA, members of Industry Advisory Panel and faculty among others.

The cohorts were ushered into the auditorium in a well-orchestrated academic procession which was followed by the traditional lighting of lamp and Presidential address. Mr Nitish Jain set the tone for the evening as he spoke about the importance of preparation and passion to succeed and sustain growth in a competitive world outside.

Dr Grandhi and Professor Christopher Abraham as always made brilliant keynote speeches backed by some awe-inspiring audio-visuals. They urged the young crowd to go into the real world and make a difference. Professor John Davis during his statement had the crowd in splits as he showed the lighter side of management pressure in the corporate world.

It was a proud moment for the students as they collected their certificates and Dean's List awards in the presence of their loved ones.

One student each representing the GMBA and EMBA cohorts shared the nostalgic experience on stage as the rest of the graduates relived their entire MBA journey, some with a smile on their face while others with a tear attached to their eyes.

This was followed by all graduates taking the MBA pledge of setting themselves ethical goals in their work lives. The graduates then celebrated the occasion by tossing their graduation hats and marking the formal conclusion of the eventful program. What followed was a host of memorable photographs and catching up with friends and acquaintances.
