Students from CUOA (Centro Universitario di Organizzazione Aziendale) Business School in Italy studying the Masters in Retail Management and Marketing chose S P Jain, Dubai for a 3 day study tour from the 13th to 15th of September. The study tour gave students an opportunity to learn about retailing, marketing and logistics in the UAE and the Middle East through site visits and workshops conducted by S P Jain's esteemed faculty and industry partners.
The three day workshop commenced with an introduction and overview by Prof. Christopher Abraham - Head of S P Jain's Dubai campus. Over the three days students had the opportunity to learn about Navigating Retail Brands in the UAE by Dr Balakrishna Grandhi, Dean of the Executive MBA program at S P Jain. Mr. Abhay Nadkarni, Executive Director of the Al Aqili Group discussed the Retail Landscape: Current Trends & Outlook in the UAE, Prof. of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Rajiv Aserkar gave students an insight into Retail and Logistics in the Middle East which was followed by a visit to
the Landmark Group.
Mr. Swapan Choudhury, Head of Supply Chain and Mr. Mithun Perinchery, Logistics & Supply Chain Manager at the Landmark Group addressed the students and gave them a guided tour of the Landmark warehouse.
The workshop concluded with a session by Dr. Ianna Contardo, Associate Dean of S P Jain's Global MBA program on Neuro Marketing - Is your Marketing Strategy geared up with the latest insights from the brain sciences? Students also visited Festival City, Al Futtaim Group, Dubai mall and the Armani Hotel as part of their Dubai experience.
