S P Jain School of Global Management, Dubai marked its 10th convocation ceremony on 26th May, 2011, an event that witnessed around 100 graduates successfully being conferred with their MBA degrees. The event was graced by Mr. Nitish Jain, President, S P Jain, Professor Christopher Abraham, Head, Dubai Campus and Sr. Vice President, Dr. Balakrishna Grandhi, Dean of the Executive MBA, and guest of honor Mr. Thomas Kuruvilla, Managing Director, Arthur D. Little Middle East Ltd.

In his Presidential speech, Mr. Nitish Jain addressed five key lessons to the graduating students which he urged them to commit to and follow for life. The quintessence of his message was to prepare the students not just for their future careers but for their life.

Dr. Grandhi then expressed the need to step back from the "Think outside the box approach" and start thinking inside the box just as thoroughly, illustrating the "Starbucks" case study. Prof John Davis, Former Dean, Global MBA , emphasized on the importance of the four areas which are Destiny, Distinction, Culture, Experiences on which the graduates should focus for achieving a promising career.

The highlight of the evening's function was the keynote address delivered by the guest of honor Mr. Thomas Kuruvilla, Managing Director, Arthur D. Little Middle East Ltd. He highlighted the need of being a human first and then a performer. He stressed on the need for humility, taking initiative and giving back to the society. His words left a profound impact on the minds of the graduates, their families and friends.

The graduates then celebrated the occasion by tossing their mortarboards and marking the formal conclusion of the evening's eventful program.

S P Jain participants have consistently performed well in their corporate careers and now, armed with the MBA Degree, aim to reach newer heights of excellence in their future careers.
