S P Jain announces academic partnership with IBM Watson™ Analytics at the Sydney Campus

In our continuing effort to help give students a competitive edge in the workforce, S P Jain is pleased to announce its academic partnership with IBM Watson Analytics.
The abundance of data, the popularity and the growth of the cloud, advances in analytics, new user experience design and business models have converged. The result of this convergence is the imperative for everyone to make decisions based on facts and data. Where once organisations relied on data scientists or IT to prepare and interpret data, now marketing, sales, operations, finance and HR professionals are being asked to get answers they need from all types of data — on their own.

This is why the IBM Watson™ Analytics will prove to be highly effective.
Watson™ Analytics is truly about smart data discovery. It is a cloud-based analytics service that enables a business user to be a “citizen data scientist” and easily find answers within their own data. It automates the process of going from business question to actionable insights and reduces dependence on scarce analytics expertise. The easy-to-use interface combined with natural language interactions and cognitive capabilities guide you through advanced analytics so you can answer questions and discover new insights. A combination of exploration, discovery and visualisations enables you to create clear and compelling stories that lead you to the right conclusions and drive a common, forward-looking view of your business.

This new development offers each one of our students at the Sydney Campus unlimited access to his or her own subscription of Watson™ Analytics Student Edition. This news addition to the campus will enable students to gain a better understanding of what drives a particular business better— enable them to identify the influential factors, assess the math behind business and customer outcomes, and learn to take action with the new knowledge that will surface with the help of the IBM Watson Analytics.

At a time as this where employers expect individuals at all levels of the organisation to use raw data for new insights, we remain dedicated to ensure that our students are better prepared to deliver results and insights!
