Inculcating a global mindset and imparting complete education at the undergraduate level

The world has changed rapidly and significantly over the past decade, and most of the world's challenges are truly problems without passports (climate change, pandemics, terrorism, poverty, etc.). Having a first degree is no longer sufficient for training tomorrow's managers and leaders to address these global issues. What is needed is a global mindset, and fostering that global mindset must start at the undergraduate level.

S P Jain's BBA Program is designed with this context in mind. It is a four-year fulltime residential program, uniquely crafted as a 2 + 2 model. The first two years are conducted in the Singapore - the gateway to Asia; and Sydney - the educational & financial hub of Australia. Singapore and Sydney are two important geographies for understanding business and culture, and by living, studying and working in these two cities, students will emerge with a global mindset and global perspective.

The world-class BBA Program offered by S P Jain has a strong liberal arts foundation with an emphasis on business leadership.

In accordance with the global academic expectations, a liberal arts component has been introduced into the program leading to the award of the BBA . The belief is that these subjects, in particular, assist to produce graduates better able to communicate and relate to broader cultural imperatives, as well as gain an appreciation of the role of business in society. S P Jain is committed to creating a learning environment that is holistic and focused on developing well-rounded students with impressive personalities, knowledge, skills and high degree of global awareness.

As the students advance through the program, they will be increasingly exposed to more specialized subjects. Another unique feature of the course is the Action Learning Project, where students are facilitated to work with practising managers of leading companies to pursue their projects, and put learning into practise. This project will motivate students to indulge in independent learning involving reading, discussion, problem identification and evaluation, as well as research and professional writing.

The entire learning process is focused on inculcating in participants sensitivity to real world issues and the ability to become leaders of tomorrow. This ongoing quest for excellence is a continuing process, and S P Jain moves on with the introduction of the innovative BBA Program.
